Work/Experience

Industrial Designer & Product Owner
Saint Gobain - CertainTeed ‘Solutions Development’ ( February 2022 – Present)
Senior-level industrial designer leading a small group of designers. We are part of a cross-functional engineering team at Saint Gobain. Our team is focused on reducing the energy and material waste of construction; finding ways to build homes faster, more efficiently, and with fewer injuries or errors. Full-project ownership from user research and project conception through ideation, model making, looks-like and functional prototyping, strength and characterization testing, EHS and LCA analysis, DFM and manufacturing optimization, patent / IP protection, and post-launch voice-of-customer.

’Product Owner’ has recently been added to my title to reflect an expansion of my role, which now includes ownership, strategy, and management for our digital products. These include internal tools and optimizations for manufacturing, product development, and visualization, as well as developing customer-facing applications to support our BUs.

Lab Owner - Greentown Labs
Saint Gobain - CertainTeed Solutions Development ( February 2022 – Present)
An additional responsibility at Saint Gobain that I feel is worth it’s own blurb. Lab owner / safety manager of a ~1,500sqft lab space at Greentown Labs, a Climatech startup incubator in Somerville MA, for CertainTeed. This lab acts as an offsite, customer-facing prototyping area for Saint Gobain. We have opened our space as a resource to the startup community, allowing startups to use our tools, characterization equipment, rapid prototyping resources, and environmental chamber. I have updated the floorplan to improve access for Voice Of Customer testing, developed SOP’s and Safety guidelines for non-Saint Gobain users, led safety trainings, and managed resources and access for third-party users.
